EDDIE MORRISON

 

Rev. Eddie Morrison was assigned to Winona Park UMC in June of 2009. Eddie's wife is Karen. They are native Savannahians. Eddie worked in the fire sprinkler industry for 24 years before accepting the call to full time ministry in the United Methodist Church. Karen retired from Savannah Foods and Industries and then went to work at St. Luke UMC as the church secretary and in the day care program.

 

The Morrisons have three grown children, two daughters, Alison and Elizabeth, and one son, Joey. Both daughters are married and Elizabeth has a daughter, Natalie. Joey is the youngest of the three and is a career Marine stationed in Cherry Point, N.C.

 

Eddie previously served at the Willacoochee-Beulah Methodist Charge in Willacoochee for seven years.

 

The couple's ministry encompasses all age groups. A great deal of their ministry has been spent with young children and youth.

 

Eddie and Karen are mission-minded people. They have done numerous mission trips related to hurricane recovery with their churches along the east coast and gulf coast.

 

The Morrisons have led mission teams to Costa Rica and Belize, Central America, and Kenya, Africa.
